Procurement Solicitor, Leeds We are working with this exceptional international firm, which is looking to further expand its Procurement offering out of Leeds. The team is ranked Tier 1 UK-wide and is very much recognised as a market leader in this field. The Leeds office is just a short stroll from Leeds station and is a large welcoming office populated by highly capable but friendly and down-to-earth lawyers. Their administrative support and legal tech is outstanding, allowing their lawyers to work effectively and efficiently on the work they enjoy. Due to sustained growth in instructions, the Procurement team in Leeds is now looking to hire a further Advisory Procurement Lawyer to work on a wide range of advisory / non-contentious Procurement matters – · Working on nationally and internationally significant projects, with a particular focus on government contracts, transport (rail, bus, ports and aviation), utilities (water, electricity, gas and heat), defence, healthcare, regeneration and wider development. · Working side-by-side with theirAG Procurement specialist procurement disputes lawyers, providing technical and strategic input into contentious matters, including behind the scenes settlements and major court cases. · Current workload includes advising clients on the transition to the new Procurement Act 2023. · Running the procurement workstreams on major projects being led by colleagues specialising in IT, outsourcing, transport, utilities, construction, real estate and defence · Supporting and leading business development initiatives (as appropriate to levels of qualification and interest) including client publications, articles and speaking engagements (including delivering both internal and external procurement training) The firm pays top of the market salaries in this area of work, together with an achievable holistic bonus structure, which focuses on general contribution and collaboration, not just chargeable hours.
