  • Accountable for preparing all relevant analysis and recommendations to enable decisions to be made on the product lines, analysing the market trends, competitor offering and pricing.
  • Support the launch of new products, including product brief, sales forecasting, model stock quantities, pricing, and product training.

Key Responsibilities –Strategy

  • Support the Head of Product Marketing with the 3/5 year plan
  • Leading the preparation of product briefs in line with marketing strategies and deadlines
  • Leading on product forecasting and pricing

Launch Plan

  • Developing the product launch plan
  • Development sheet – ensure accurate and up to date at all times, preparing the agenda for the meeting, sending weekly minutes of the development prototype meetings and maintain timelines sheet
  • Work closely on the technical development with the Production team in the product development process
  • Work closely with Merchandising team on the novelty forecast plus follow up the delivery of prototypes

Product Development

  • Support the product development process from brief ideation to in-market performance, including product definition, prototyping, forecasting, pricing.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of the product database with all relevant information on the product range
  • Responsibility for leading the twice yearly pricing reviews, suggesting adjustments based on competition
  • Leading the review the product lifecycle on a twice yearly basis, working independent to make suggestions and recommendations

ANALYSIS

  • Prepare the fortnightly sales report and monthly Board and Business review, liaising with Finance team to ensure the accuracy of reported numbers
  • Complete ad hoc business analysis when needed with accompanying action plan
  • Lead on competition analysis (market trends, novelties)
  • Support and coach the Product Marketing I whilst collaborating on the preparation of the monthly competition newsletter
  • Analyse the current market, identify gaps and needs notable competitor price positioning in order to provide suggestions for new product launches
  • Oversee the library of competitor activity and product information

OPERATIONS

  • Responsible for preparing the product flash for each new launch 1 – 3 months in advance
  • Coordinating the process for naming for new products
  • Ensure novelties are includes on website and in product guide
  • Update newness reports on a monthly basis for the Merchandising team
  • Work with VM team to provide tailored product selection for windows
  • Liaise with Brand team to ensure the pack shots are completed on time

Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Previous product management experience in the luxury industry
  • Experience in jewelry business is highly desirable
  • Ability to identify the main elements of an issue or problem despite working with incomplete data
  • Sees the main patterns, themes & linkages in information and broader implications
  • Generates several alternative options & makes a well-reasoned decision based on an analysis of the risks & opportunities
  • Understands the purpose & objectives of own functional area and how it aligns with the other parts of the organisation.
  • Possess an eye for detail, Inherent interest in luxury and a strong product sensibility
  • Strong analytical capability: able to interpret data quantitatively and qualitatively
  • Demonstrated track record of supporting businesses to create a culture that fosters innovation, fresh thinking and engages diverse views.
  • Good communicator, with the ability to build and maintain good stakeholder partnerships within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting stakeholder needs

  • International travel will be required from time to time
