We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join the fantastic Global Product Marketing organisation working across our technology, platform and innovations business unit (BU) which encompasses a growing portfolio of solutions and services from the Sage Network, Sage AI, Data and Digital Services and our Developer Experience teams.

The role reports into the global head of product marketing across this space and will be accountable for the creation and delivery of creative and disruptive go-to-market (GTM) plans and strategies to get our propositions seen, heard and felt across the Sage organisation and industry ecosystem.

This role will lead the definition, planning and execution of turning our value propositions into GTM programs, including targeting, opportunity size, channel strategy, sequencing, customer journey, promotion, tactics, etc. as well as ownership of optimising the global and regional GTM strategies.

To achieve this, the role will work as part of the Sage Network Business Unit squad, working day to day with product marketing peers, growth teams and our wider marketing colleagues across key functions and regions to ensure integrated thinking and successful execution.

The successful applicant must have a passion for taking the complex and making it simple, for marketing through compelling stories, utilising proof points, and driving pipeline activities by deeply understanding how our solutions, APIs, AI-powered services and future applications built on the Sage Platform will add value to small and medium businesses, technology and business partners, and third-party developers and FinTechs.

Success in this role is defined by the role holder’s ability to translate the BU strategy, growth plans and value propositions from their product marketing colleagues into an actionable GTM plans that resonate and are impactful across the Sage organization, supporting the Sage Network, Sage AI and Data and Digital teams’ goals and revenue targets.

This role has a strong focus on delivering Product Marketing strategic outputs as well as supporting the execution of launches. An astute ability to navigate between different short and long-term priorities are critical factors of success. This role will be accountable for our global plans, however, will need to build successful relationships and ways of working with regional product marketing and broader marketing function teams to prioritise and execute plans.

Key Responsibilities Summary of your day-to-day?
You will be part of the broader Sage Network Business Unit squad, responsible for defining GTM strategy and plans, clearly differentiating us from the competition and driving commercial outcomes/targets. You will be accountable for ensuring successful launch in-market for new propositions/products that go to market. This will include end to end responsibility for launch and leading the regional launch squad, including detailed channel strategies of how best to deliver the proposition to market. This includes messaging, positioning, further value add content, sales enablement tools etc.

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience as a Product Marketing Manager
  • Experience of launching developer platforms and Appstore/marketplace would be beneficial.
  • Ability to disrupt markets through innovative ideas balanced with market research against a strategic plan.
  • Strong knowledge of building an API and data driven propositions, which includes a deep understanding of the business needs and challenges faced by customers, small and medium businesses, and competitors in the space.
