About the RoleThe Production Editor, Packaged Services role is responsible for supporting suppliers to utilise OUP’s standard processes, systems and workflows to ensure the efficiency and quality of ELT products from handover of developed content to final print or digital output. You will be empowering suppliers to take ownership of the production process, to ensure content is delivered to agreed publishing date and specifications and is consistent with the Divisions’ Strategic Objectives and Mission Success Factors.Key Accountabilities & Relationships:

• Budget management
• Editorial quality
• Communication and cross-functional team working
• Supplier management
• Issue prevention and resolution
• We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

• Publishing experience
• Experience of commissioning and managing the work of external suppliers

• Experience of working as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Well-developed organisational skills, including an ability to prioritise

Desirable skills:

• Ability to build relationships, influence, and negotiate with key stakeholders
• Experience of training and mentoring on workflows, processes and tools
• Editorial experience in educational publishing
• Experience of budget management
• A background or interest in ELT
