The company boasts over 40 years of experience, over 100,000 hours flown, 150 staff members & 5 UK bases – They are now expanding and looking for a Production Planner! The short of the role is as follows – you will be reporting to the engineering manager, tracking and monitoring aircraft utilisation, maintaining schedules and updating operational spreadsheets. Additional Role Responsibilities The role involves ordering necessary components, liaising with customers and operations for maintenance scheduling, providing updates during maintenance periods, and raising estimates and work orders. The Planner will also be tasked with the critical responsibility of maintaining communication with all relevant departments to ensure the seamless operation of the business. This position demands a proactive approach to managing daily engineering queries and customer interactions, with a focus on maintaining the high standards of business. Job Description: Salary : DOELocation : Bigin Hill, Kent Reporting to Engineering ManagerTracking aircraft utilisation in advance of upcoming maintenanceMonitoring upcoming maintenance / component replacementUpdating capacity/fleet plan & short forecast spreadsheetChecking NDT requirementsOrdering upcoming components via storesMonitoring ground runsWeekly CAM update of aircraftCustomer/ops liaison when booking aircraft in for maintenance (manpower planning)Updating customers during aircraft’s maintenance inputRaising scheduled estimatesUpdating all aircraft (internal & external)Raising rectification estimates for labour/partsRaising work orders Raising CRSChecking / typing / closing work ordersGeneral day to day engineering and customer enquires Personal Spec – What are we looking for? Background experience within the aviation sector – knowledge of the industry is so important as the candidate will have to slot in quickly and hit the ground running. Time management is going to be key – You will be liaising with multiple departments, managers and engineers aswell as managing your own workload so scheduling and time keeping is so important here.
