JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision or overall guidance of the Economics Affairs Office, Marco Dini. The intern will support the team in research activities related to Benefit Corporations in Latin America. Tasks will include: – scheduling interviews with key informants from countries – researching laws and papers about benefit corporations in the region – compilation of data regarding benefit corporations in the region – supporting the writing of research related to benefit corporations – developing surveys for benefit corporations
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
(b) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
Fluency in Spanish is required. Knowledge at a basic level of English is required. NOTE: “Fluency” equals a rating of ”fluent” in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ¨knowledge of¨ equals a rating of ”confident” in two of the four areas. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations.
