Professional Learning Coach

Position Purpose:
The Professional Learning Coach works with the Professional Learning Team to develop a coherent professional development curriculum for TSS and facilitate it through in-person and virtual workshops and coaching. 

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with and experience using current research, pedagogy, and assessment practices in education – specifically around the elements of the TSS place-based framework and learning model.
• 5+ years teaching K-12, administration experience a plus
• Undergraduate degree required, Master’s degree preferred
• Confidence with and comfort experimenting with Canvas and Google Workspaces and a desire to learn about new digital tools—while being a critical consumer of new ed tech tools

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

• Primarily indoors in an office setting: sitting and standing for long stretches while using a computer
• Able to sit/stand at a desk for up to 8 hours
• Ability to work remotely as needed
• Ability to travel 8-12 times per year

Responsibilities:
Professional Learning/Place Network Coach

• Support the design and delivery of high quality professional development and training to Place Network Schools
• Support the design of new Professional Learning curriculum
• Facilitate on-site or online Professional Learning and Place Network workshops
• Attend Professional Learning and Place Network meetings, conferences, and trainings
• Coach Place Network schools via the established partnership model

One TSS Responsibilities

• Further development of practice and implementation of place-based education pedagogies
• Proactively and positively shares the TSS mission and program structure with external stakeholders.
• Cross markets TSS programs when opportunities arise.
• Engages and collaborates across TSS program areas when possible.
