The Department of Anthropology is seeking an outstanding candidate for tenured Full Professor specializing in sociocultural anthropology with geographical focus in Asia and the Pacific or transnational processes involving these areas.

Applicants should:
(i)    have a PhD degree in anthropology;
(ii)    have ability to teach, secure grants, and publish in English;
(iii)    have an outstanding record of publication, teaching and supervision of postgraduate students; and
(iv)    applicants for Full Professorship must already hold the rank of Full Professor.

Ability to supervise postgraduate theses written in Chinese will be an advantage, but is not essential. The appointee will be responsible for (a) teaching; (b) research; and (c) administration.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Appointment should commence in August 2025 or earlier.
