Offer Description

The position is one of four key professorships in economics that will be filled in the near future. The successful candidate will strengthen the department’s orientation towards internationally visible research and excellent teaching in economics. The new professor will represent the field of microeconomics, with an emphasis on theoretical and empirically motivated microeconomics. Fields of research may comprise industrial organization, the microeconomic aspects of international trade, political economy, environmental economics, and finance. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching at the Bachelor, Master, and PhD level. He/she has a strong research record, documented by publications in leading international journals. The new professor preferably has a strong international research network and is welcome to collaborate within the faculty’s research profiles or the interdisciplinary research fields at Leipzig University.
