Salary Range: $45,000-$54,000

Salary is commensurate with experience. Starting salary within the range provided is based on the candidate’s relevant experience and skills for the role

EF has offices and programs in the Eurasia region, the Middle East, and China. 

Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US-based international development organization promoting good governance and vibrant civil society, is accepting applications for a Program Assistant (PA). The PA is a member of the Education, Leadership, and Exchange (ELE) team and is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support to existing and new exchange projects within the ELE department, drafts various technical documents, and communicates with program participants. 

Essential Functions

  • Provide daily administrative support to existing exchange programs
  • Maintain frequent contact with program participants
  • Maintain a database of ELE exchange program participants and stakeholders
  • Assist with the preparation of travel documents for international students and scholars
  • Assist with new business development efforts, including background research, proposal writing, and copyediting
  • Provide support drafting program reports and other program materials such as social media posts and website content. program developments on social media platforms 
  • Assist with planning and implementation of internal and external events
  • Support program staff in budgeting exercise
  • Other support duties as needed

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, education, social work, area studies, management, or another relevant field required 

Qualifications/Experience 

  • At least one year of work experience is preferred; work experience on exchange programs is highly desirable
  • Excellent writing and editing skills are required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government regulations on exchange visitor programs preferred
  • Experience in educational projects or exchange projects preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Knowledge of Russian and/or Arabic languages highly desired
