Position Summary:

Creative seeks a Program Associate for the Communities in Transition Division. The role of an Associate is to provide administrative and coordination support to up to two client-funded projects (number may vary based on size/complexity of projects) in an assigned practice area e.g. Stabilization within a Technical Division, with an anticipated LOE of 60-65% on project management. The Program Associate will also provide business development (BD) support at 15-20% LOE; BD support may include writing past performance references (PPRs); writing and editing CVs; serving as pricing support; participating in capture efforts; or other support functions.

In the Stabilization Practice Area, the Program Associate will Stabilization projects such as the U.S. State Department-funded project in Northeast Syria. Stabilization projects conduct implementation that supports local governance and essential services, striving to make public operations more responsive, transparent, and accessible to citizens living in the communities and builds the skills of local officials to better respond to their constituents needs and improve service delivery. The Associate may also work on projects in other Practice Areas such as in the Transitions practice area who manages work with USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives, USAID’s Center for Conflict Violence and Prevention, and USAID missions and regional offices worldwide to build on and expand work in transition contexts advancing peace and democracy in communities experiencing political and security transition, conflict, extremism and violence; or the Governance Practice Area focusing on improving local governance capacity and transparency for local citizens. Much of the Communities in Transition projects occur in conflict areas globally.

Reporting & Supervision:

Program Associate report to a Senior Project Manager or Director.

Responsibilities

  • Processing project documentation and payments,
  • Contributing to project financial management including projections and spending,
  • Managing project budget trackers, including reviewing and processing consultant invoices,
  • Managing project information and files,
  • Liaising with support offices,
  • Drafting and reviewing project documents (i.e. PPRs, internal notes to file, technical notes) in compliance with Creative and client policies and requirements
  • Providing administrative and logistical support in meetings.
  • The Associate may travel to the field to provide administrative support or to support capture efforts for BD.
  • Spanish fluency required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s required and 1 year of relevant administrative or professional work experience (including internships)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 8 weeks per year
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite, including ability to navigate and use Excel
  • Understanding of essential workplace dynamics and etiquette

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $55,800 – $62,000
