Description

Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) is seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator to lead a long-term project aimed at empowering women’s rights organizations in Salah Al Din. The ideal candidate will oversee the execution of training, consultancy, webinar organization, and management of field operations, ensuring the project’s success through effective coordination and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of the project focused on strengthening women’s rights organizations in Salah Al Din.
Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the field team, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to project objectives and goal.
Training and Consultancy: Coordinate and oversee the provision of training sessions and consultancy services to women’s rights organizations.
Webinar Organization: Plan, organize, and execute webinars aimed at networking and knowledge sharing within the targeted organizations.
Work Planning: Develop and implement detailed work plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Financial Coordination: Collaborate with the finance department to monitor budgets, prepare forecasts, and reviewing financial reports.
Logistics Coordination: Work closely with logistics teams, in Erbil and Salah Al Din, to ensure the timely provision of resources and materials for project activities.
Reporting: Prepare monthly, interim and final reports, documenting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Travel: Potentially travel to Salah Al Din as needed to oversee on-ground operations and liaise with local stakeholders.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Social Sciences, Business Management, etc.).
Proven experience in project management, particularly within the context of women’s rights, community development, or similar fields in Iraq.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to create and implement work plans effectively.
Excellent report writing skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Experience in financial management, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with diverse stakeholders and project partners.
Proficiency in English and Arabic. Kurdish is a plus.
Flexibility and willingness to travel to Salah Al Din periodically as part of the job requirement.
