Program Coordinator (Admissions)

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the School of Nursing Director for Admissions, the Program Coordinator in the Office of Admissions is responsible for facilitating admissions activities including recruitment, application reviews, and applicant relationship management through matriculation. Advise prospective students about the programs offered, application procedure, eligibility, and admission status.

 

Job Duties:

  • Supports the development and coordination of all aspects of the admissions cycle, including prospects, application, interviews, admission, and matriculation processes.
  • Manages the recruitment of nursing undergraduate and graduate students and advises prospective students and their families on the application process. Attends various recruitment activities such as open houses, transfer fairs, school visits, exhibitions, information sessions, and school or university events.
  • Coordinates schedules and meetings for visiting prospective students and guests including the preparation of itineraries, faculty meetings, information sessions, or campus tours.
  • Responds to inquiries from prospective and current applicants and admitted students to update application and matriculation status.
  • Review and evaluate application documents using multiple technological platforms such as the Centralized Application System (CAS) and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Evaluate prospective student transcripts for equivalency to prerequisite courses. Collaborate with the Registrar’s office to ensure Texas core curriculum completion. Correspond with prospective students on unofficial transcript evaluation.
  • Assist with marketing efforts for the nursing programs. Reviews and provides feedback for annual marketing materials including recruitment materials, brochures, website, and advertising material. Supports marketing with online and social media initiatives.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree is required.

     

    Experience:

    Three (3) years related experience is required.
