This administrative position supports myriad operational needs in the Office of Graduate Medical Education, which vary in duration, frequency and intensity. The incumbent in this position will be required to either have or ultimately develop a broad and deep understanding of graduate medical education, its accreditation requirements and relevant policies and procedures. Ultimately, the incumbent will be expected to achieve subject matter mastery such that they can provide education about current processes to GME community members as needed and make process improvement suggestions to GME Leadership.

  • Supporting the licensing, education verification, credentialing and onboarding of new GME Trainees, and/or those who are reappointed annually.  These processes require strong customer service and collaboration skills in order to partner with internal and external organizations who facilitate Trainee licensing and employment (Employee Health, HR, HSTS, Linen Services, Clinical Staff, Board of Medicine, etc.)
  • Creating and maintaining Trainee demographic files, both paper and electronic, for the lifecycle of the Trainees employment in GME. Incumbent will either have or be expected to achieve mastery in New Innovations GME database management (file creation, audit, checklist generation, reports). 
  • Ensure GME processes associated with role are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Performing verifications for all former Trainees via files/records that exist in multiple modalities.
  • Assist Manager as needed with tasks related to management of GME cost report and/or finance.
  • This position will be required to perform additional tasks related to the support and administration of the GME enterprise as needed. 

Position Compensation Range: $20.28 – $31.43 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:  Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred, or in lieu of a degree 3-5 years in a similar academic medical setting may be considered

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in program management or project coordination strongly considered.  Experience in GME, UME or an academic medical center preferred.

License/Certification:  None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Additionally, this position assists with management of events, as needed, in GME educational space which requires the ability to sit/stand for prolonged period, bending/stooping/walking, climbing (ladder, steps), reaching (overhead), and lifting/pulling/pushing (20-50lbs).
