Job Description

Assist the program director with all aspects of a federal grant funded program to prepare underrepresented undergraduate students for graduate education through participation in research and scholarly activities.
Other Duties:
- Coordinates administrative activities of a designated program or programs.
- Coordinates the activities between projects for a department or college and between those projects and other programs on a national or state level. Interfaces with university departments, funding sources, outside organizations.
- Assists in the preparation of grants and ensures accuracy. Collaborate with the Office of Research Administration, Principal Investigators and other personnel.
- Organizes and participates in the analysis of collected data. May perform data entry, collect, and
clean data. - Ensures projects are in compliance with University regulations.
- Recruit and identify potential program participants.
- Deliver program services and workshops.
- Mentor and maintain contact with program participants.
- Coordinate student travel and supervise student conference attendance.
- Engage in program outreach.
- Maintain student files and program database.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
- Assist with program documentation, assessment, and reports.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree AND:
- 36 months of related experience
Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills including communicating effectively to quickly build rapport with diverse students, faculty, and staff
- Strong collaborative, organizational, and time management skills
- Understanding and adhering to federal and institutional policies
- Demonstrated research skills, including communicating findings verbally and in writing
- Advanced composition and proofreading skills
- Manage confidential student data
- Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines·
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of accounting process
