Posting Context Statement This position will support the coordination of educational sessions for Project ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes). This role will have a particular focus on supporting the marketing and communications efforts within the office. Project ECHO is a lifelong learning and guided practice model that revolutionizes medical education and exponentially increases workforce capacity to provide best-practice specialty care and reduce health disparities. ECHO trainings are led by expert teams who use multi-point videoconferencing to conduct virtual trainings with community providers. In this way, primary care doctors, nurses, and other clinicians learn to provide excellent specialty care to patients in their own communities.
Position Overview This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.
Duties may include:

  • Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions
  • Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff
  • Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets
  • Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records
  • Maintaining program calendars and schedules
  • May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

Required Experience
  • Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
  • Composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials
  • Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing projects independently that involve multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience editing and writing formal correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing information to use in making decisions. Experience facilitating educational outreach activities.
  • Experience with records maintenance.
  • Experience in customer service standards and procedures.
  • Experience distance learning technology.
