Program Executive

KABIL (www.kabilindia.org) is a not-for-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act.

KABIL works in the villages to promote well-being of the poor, focusing on livelihood enhancement. KABIL is anchored by a group of professionals with many years of experience in rural livelihood promotion in the poorest regions of India. KABIL’s head office is in Delhi and currently works in Assam, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. KABIL has set up project spearhead teams to work in Udalguri district of Assam and Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal to promote livelihoods and well-being of underprivileged families. The project executives will work as members of the project spearhead team. Applications are being invited to fill up 8 positions of project executive from the qualified candidates within 10 days of publication of the advertisement.

The Job: The project executives will work in a cluster of villages with women of self-help groups and their families. They will understand the concerns of the families; plan with them for the improvement of their livelihoods and well-being; implement projects; develop entrepreneurs from among village youth; network and coordinate with government departments, market actors, resource institutions etc. They will also document project progress and learning, write periodic reports, correspond with relevant stakeholders and represent the organization and the initiative in public forums.

Requirements: The job requires a deep interest in working with rural communities to improve their livelihoods and wellbeing, and a willingness to reach out to remote rural areas. This is a field-based position and candidates willing to work in the field are requested to apply.

Qualifications and experience: Candidates should possess at least a postgraduate qualification in any discipline or a four-year graduate degree (e.g., Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Engineering, etc.). They must have attained a minimum of 50% marks in their 10th, 12th, undergraduate, and postgraduate studies. However, these prerequisites may be relaxed for candidates with substantial work experience in integrated natural resource management (INRM) and MGNREGS.

Candidates may be freshers with no experience or have experience of up to 5 years. Knowing Assamese/Bengali/Bodo/Sadri/Santhali languages and the ability to drive a two-wheeler will be advantageous. Women are especially encouraged to apply.

Remuneration: All-inclusive remuneration (CTC) ranging from Rs 30,000 per month to Rs. 40,000 per month is budgeted for the positions depending on qualification and experience.
