Program Facilitator

OVERVIEW

Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights is a charitable organization supporting survivors of human rights violations, defending fundamental freedoms, and promoting democratic values throughout the world. Our programs provide mental health, medical treatment, and other support services to survivors of trauma, terror, domestic violence, and human rights violations.
We are seeking applications for the following position:

Position: Program Facilitator
Status: Full-time
Based: Sulaymaniyah – Kirkuk – Duhok
Reports to: Head of Program
Required Degree: Peace Building, Social Science or a related field
Application Deadline: 20 January 2025
Starting Date: 1st of February
Contract Duration: One year, with the possibility of renewal

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Technical Support (Aiding the development of assessment tools)

2. Conducting research and writing reports

3. Developing program activities and supporting project development

4. Organizing and communicating with local community groups

5. Facilitating local understanding of project scope and issue selection using qualitative and quantitative indicators

6. Designing potential community activities addressing identified issues using expert and community knowledge

7. Designing a community issue selection process

8. Guiding and supporting community activities

REQUIREMENTS

1. Must have an excellent command of Kurdish, a good command of English, and additional Arabic proficiency is preferable.
2. Knowledge of Turkoman, Assyrian, or other minority languages is considered a positive
3. Work experience in peace building, transitional justice, or development work is a positive
