In accordance with the Administrative and Professional Officer Agreement , this full-time continuing position offers a comprehensive benefits package found on our Benefits Overview page and an annual salary range of $71,557 – $119,269.

Location

This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person at Enterprise Square .

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Information Services in the Office of Advancement Services, the Program Lead, Data Analytics (PLDA) is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated reporting and data analytics program that supports the strategic and operational needs of the External Relations portfolio.

Utilizing established skills in providing data-driven business intelligence, the PLDA will develop and manage short and long-term data collection and analysis strategies that will provide program directors and managers with reliable data in accessible formats to assist them in making informed decisions as it relates to alumni and donor engagement. The PLDA is skilled in translating and communicating complex information into actionable insights and results for a wide range of audiences within the External Relations portfolio as well as to external stakeholders.

The PLDA works in a fast-paced dynamic work environment where the ability to respond quickly, clearly, and with accuracy is paramount. Besides the responsibility for developing dashboard reports for the University’s senior leadership, the PLDA will also support senior leadership by participating in vital benchmarking studies and creating forecasting and financial models. The PLDA is a trusted advisor, working with highly sensitive and confidential information, and is often looked upon by Executive Leadership for data guidance and reliable expertise.

Duties

  • Manage and lead a Data Analytics team
  • Actively seek and collect benchmarking data that supports the business processes/outcomes of the University’s fundraising efforts
  • Design and implement operational and management reports and dashboards for the Executive Leadership, Fundraisers, Deans, and program directors
  • Provide insight and effective solutions into data needs for the entire portfolio
  • Complete modeling activities to determine trends and provide hypothesis testing of patterns in alumni and donor behavior, identify and forecast growth opportunities, and address challenges
  • Manage a pipeline of requests and prioritize as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in leadership, operations management, information systems, statistics, financial or marketing analysis
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in analyzing and synthesizing complex data sets
  • Strong ability to effectively translate complex data sets and analyses into actionable insights and recommendations in a language that a wide range of audiences can understand
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage projects
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Demonstrated skills in data visualization, interpretation, presentation, and reporting
  • Strong business acumen to confidently work with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using Tableau or related reporting tool

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree
  • Experience using SQL
  • Strong skills and experience in quantitative data analysis (i.e. SPSS, SAS, or Stata)
  • Knowledge of R and/or Python
