About the Role
The Program Lead, Investment Ready Startups will be responsible for developing, launching and delivering a new program focused on helping Queensland based startups become investment ready. Taking charge of this new and exciting program, the Program Lead, Investment Ready Startups will continue to build on EnergyLab’s reputation of delivering amazing programs by finding the best startups in Queensland to participate in the program, creating strong working relationships with the program partners and ensuring the program exceeds all expectations.
Please note the successful candidate for this role needs to be based in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and recruit amazing Queensland based startups to participate in the Queensland Climate Tech Investment Ready Program
- Run a high-quality program
- Ensure startup participants are receiving the support they need to succeed
- Ensure program partners and other stakeholders are achieving their goals for the program
- Utilise the EnergyLab mentor network
- Help with other key EnergyLab Activities as required
About You
You may have prior experience in one or more of the following – startup support, project management, startup investment, communications, the energy industry, decarbonisation or sustainability. With priority on startup investment
You may be a professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience looking for an organisation where you can have a more positive impact on the world.
You are great at building and cultivating relationships in person, over email, on the phone or via zoom, it doesn’t matter to you, as you can build rapport and create positive relationships no matter the situation.
You love being organised and can get things smoothly and efficiently back on track if something unexpected pops up.
You enjoy looking to finding ways to improve your role and what’s around you including seeking out feedback on what you have delivered – positive, negative or constructive and using it to improve your approach for next time.
You love being part of a team, will be the first to offer to help another team member and enjoy sharing in others success.
You are digitally savvy when it comes to working with the latest business tools – Gsuite, Slack, Zoom, Calendly, Mailchimp and whatever comes next.

Key details
Reporting to: EnergyLab’s CEO & Director, Megan Fisher.
Location: Must be based in Queensland. A mix of working from a Brisbane office and working remotely will best suit the requirements of the role. Ability to travel (mostly interstate) when required.
Position: Full time.
