THE ROLE

Our Accommodation Services provide women and their children, safety, crisis support and short term accommodation options. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the coordination of service delivery and case management responses provided by the WSSSA Western Adelaide Domestic Violence Service (WADVS) through leadership, guidance, support and consultation.

This is a full time position based at WADVS in Adelaide’s Western suburbs, commencing from 1 October 2024.

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will require significant leadership experience and exposure to management within a case management program or accommodation service. To succeed in this exciting and demanding role you will also need:

  • A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Ability to motivate and facilitate a high level of individual and team performance by providing positive leadership, effective case delegation, and management and supervision;
  • Empathy and understanding for the social, emotional and wellbeing issues affecting women and children impacted by domestic violence;
  • Understanding of risk assessment and safety management as it relates to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence
  • Experience in planning and managing program budgets, client caseloads and client file audits.
  • A current drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
  • Must be able to work outside normal hours in an on-call capacity as required.
