The Intensive Family Support (IFS) program is an intensive, time-limited case management support service. Through prevention, treatment, research, education, and advocacy, we are committed to helping keep kids safe, heal from trauma and lead happy lives.

About the Position

We are looking to welcome a Program Manager to manage the Intensive Family Support program, including oversight of the budget, providing practice supervision to all team members, ensuring quality of service provision, and building the reputation of the service through local networks.

  • This role is government funded until 30 June 2027, with possibility for extension.
  • Level 8 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $120,339 – $125,067 plus super.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support team members to deliver high quality outcomes within a performance planning and development culture.
  • Meet regularly with internal managers to increase consistency in process and practice across Act for Kids IFS.
  • Manage intake, referral, and engagement processes to meet output and outcome requirements.
  • Participate in the Local Level Alliance and other sector meetings to develop integrated service delivery for families.

About You

  • A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).
  • Professional registration (if required) and membership of a relevant professional association (desirable).
  • At least five (5) years’ experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a similar environment.
  • Highly developed knowledge of child protection issues and the child protection sector in Queensland.
  • Experience and capacity to foster and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and the community.

Other Requirements

  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
  • Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption.
