Job Description

The Program Manager Regular Giving is a vital role for the Guide Dogs and VisAbility WA team. Working closely with the Senior Manager Fundraising WA and Tasmania, this position will be responsible and accountable for the strategic development, implementation and review of all regular giving programs. Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • In collaboration and consultation with the Senior Manager Fundraising identify fundable propositions/opportunities for both Guide Dogs and VisAbility WA and set annual targets for all programs and initiatives; including building the donor and potential donor pipelines and developing strategies to increase levels of support and encouraging multi-year commitments.
  • Develop comprehensive and compelling regular giving opportunities for existing and potential new regular donors, including, but not limited to, fundraising initiatives such as Direct Mail Appeals/Campaigns, mid-value donor programs and reoccurring gift opportunities.
  • Work positively and proactively with internal stakeholders across the organisation to identify and develop comprehensive and compelling regular giving opportunities and prepare stewardship communications.
  • Proactively identify ways to reengage lapsed donors and retain donors across all regular giving programs.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager Fundraising to align regular giving initiatives and programs with fundraising and marketing strategic objectives.
  • Manage donor and potential donor journeys within Moves Management and Stewardship Frameworks to ensure consistent and meaningful interactions with the organisation, including written (including but not limited to annual Impact Reports, program, and initiative updates) and face-to-face meetings and interactions.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly assess effective stewardship strategies for individual and ‘group’ donors to enhance the donor experience and ensure donors feel valued and connected to the organisation, and various stakeholders within it.
  • Work in collaboration with the Senior Fundraiser Major Gifts to identify, cultivate and solicit potential major donors.
  • Work in collaboration with the Program Manager Planned Giving (Bequests) to identify, cultivate and solicit potential bequest prospects.
  • Analyse fundraising data to track progress and identify areas for improvement and future funding opportunities.

Skills and attributes required:

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in delivering high quality regular giving fundraising programs and community engagement and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Positive, collaborative and results driven approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time-management and planning skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Target and results-driven with a focus on expanding the organisation’s reach and impact.
