Position Summary:
Reporting to the Associate Director Business Development, Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives, the Program Officer works collaboratively with a team of other Program Officers and other HBHL staff to support HBHL’s core programming, especially training and professional development, for NeuroHub, an HBHL platform and for commercialization activities.
The successful applicant has excellent presentation skills, is comfortable with public speaking and can develop creative, engaging workshops and events that support the professional development of HBHL trainees (i.e., McGill graduate students and postdocs with an interest in neuroscience, in any department.) The Program Officer must be able to build relationships across campus and act as a liaison for HBHL. The incumbent must be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, while also calling on team members when needed.
As a key support to HBHL’s training activities, the successful candidate will have a strong interest in user support and training NeuroHub. Concrete experience working to provide user training and support in an academic environment is a strong asset for this position.
