About the Syrian Network for Human Rights:
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is a leading non-governmental organization that documents human rights violations in Syria. Our mission is to promote human rights and accountability in Syria, advocate for victims’ rights, and contribute to the global understanding of the Syrian conflict through comprehensive reporting and analysis.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Program Senior Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and managing projects that align with SNHR’s mission. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including international partners, local communities, and human rights defenders, to ensure the effective implementation of our programs and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and monitor programs and project strategies.
– Foster and maintain relationships with international partners, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to advance SNHR’s advocacy efforts.
– Manage the project’s activities and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with funding requirements.
– Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to senior management and donors.
– Support the development of project proposals and reports to secure and maintain financial support for SNHR’s programs.
– Support and participate in any additional tasks assigned by the Program Department or Executive Management.
Qualifications:
– A bachelor’s degree.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, or a related field, focusing on Syria.
– Proficiency in Arabic and English is required. Additional languages are an advantage.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Requirements:
– Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and collaborate with a globally distributed team.
– Demonstrated commitment to human rights and social justice.
Work Environment:
This position may be based in an office or operate remotely, with occasional travel.
