Description

Programme and Strategy Coordinator in the Programme Planning, Strategy and Management Coordination Office in the Directorate of Connectivity and Secure Communications (D/CSC).

The Programme Planning, Strategy and Management Coordination Office is a cross-cutting office supporting the Director of Connectivity and Secure Communications, as well as the D/CSC departments and offices.

The D/CSC portfolio of activities is growing and includes the ARTES 4.0 Programme, the ESA Programme related to EU Secure Connectivity, the Moonlight Programme and the Civil Security from Space Programme, as well as part of a national PRR project.  One of the main objectives of these programmes is to support innovation to boost the competitiveness of European industry in the global space market.
We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated Programme and Strategy Coordinator with expertise in satellite communication to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in the planning and coordination of the Directorate’s activities.

Duties

Reporting to the Head of the Programme Planning, Strategy and Management Coordination Office and providing cross-cutting services to the entire Directorate, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • drafting comprehensive documents and presentations relating to the preparation and implementation of the CSC programmes, including programme proposals and implementation plans;
  • coordinating and supporting the reflection exercise on programme evolution;
  • coordinating the ARTES 4.0 advisory committees addressing the Strategic Programme Lines;
  • preparing and improving the Directorate’s strategic management processes;
  • supporting effective stakeholder management, in particular vis-a-vis ESA Member States, supporting the successful preparation of CM25;
  • organising and preparing bilateral stakeholder meetings at director/directorate level;
  • coordinating D/CSC contributions to the Agency’s cross-cutting activities;
  • facilitating effective communication and collaboration within the team and with partners.

 

While you will not be directly responsible for contract implementation in the Programmes, you will engage in continuous interaction, fostering non-hierarchical collaboration with staff across all D/CSC departments and offices, other ESA directorates, and the boarder CSC community.

Education

A master’s degree in engineering, space policy, law or economics is required for this post.

Recruitment will normally be at the first grade in the band (A2); however, if the candidate selected has little or no experience, the position may be filled at A1 level.

 
During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
