In Guatemala, UNICEF began its assistance with supplementary feeding programmes for schoolchildren and insect control to reduce diseases, especially malaria. Today, UNICEF works in the areas of public policies, investment in children, the fulfillment of their rights and in all those spheres of political, economic, cultural and social life that affect and favor the development of children.
How can you make a difference?
- Under the close supervision and guidance of the health and nutrition chief, the programme assistant supports the health and nutrition programme by carrying out a range of procedural, administrative, and operational tasks, to help develop, implement and monitor their country programme. The role contributes to enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring timely and effective delivery, consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.

The following minimum requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary education.
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience is required.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and intermediate level in English are required.
