UNDP Nigeria’s Governance, Peace, and Security Portfolio works to strengthen accountable, efficient and effective governance to improve delivery of public services to people in Nigeria at the federal, state, and local levels, with an emphasis on parliamentary democracy and local government support, people centred justice, security and rule of law, stabilization, and conflict prevention; strengthen human rights including human rights for business, and gender quality and inclusion with an emphasis on women, youth, and the most marginalized groups.
As Programme Associate you support UNDP as follows:
Assist in project implementation and coordination, including preparing reports, meeting minutes, and supporting field missions and events;
Support partnership development by drafting concept notes, proposals, and documentation for donor meetings and coordination;
Assist in knowledge management, Monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) tasks, including data collection, outcome tracking, and drafting donor reports;
Maintain donor reporting timelines and support MEL initiatives, ensuring quality control and documentation of lessons learned;
Promote UNDP’s portfolio approach, enhancing cross-collaboration within the Governance, Peace, and Security Portfolio Team;
Etc.
Part of the Talent programme “Swiss Youth at the United Nations / World Bank Group“, this position is sponsored by the Peace and Human Rights Division (PHRD). An International UN Youth Volunteer contract ensures that travel, relocation and UN health insurance costs are covered. Additionally, a monthly living allowance is paid. First round of interviews carried out by cinfo: between 13 May and 22 May 2025
Final selection: made by the host organisation based on cinfo’s recommendation and a second interview with them. Selected candidates will be informed towards the end of June 2025.
Onboarding and training: The onboarding process will start after the selection. Selected candidates will have to attend mandatory predeparture training in August.
Entry on duty: Departure is possible after the mandatory training. The final departure date will be discussed after the selection and depends on several factors.
