Due to internal progression, we are delighted to be recruiting a Programme Delivery Lead to join our Programme Development & Operations team here at Mary’s Meals International (MMI). Our school feeding programmes are reaching over 2 million children in 17 countries via a mix of direct and partner delivery. In this impactful role, you will have responsibility for a small team and will be leading on the evolution and implementation of our global school feeding delivery model (SFDM), to ensure the most effective delivery of our programmes, with a focus on stewardship, simplicity and stewardship.
Reporting to the Head of Programme Operations, you will collaborate across the Mary’s Meals family to drive programmatic excellence and process improvements across our programmes. With a strong focus on process analysis and improvement techniques, you will provide key technical support and build employee capacity across our programmes.
Key duties:
· Lead on strategy development and annual planning to improve and develop SFDM and collaborate with global stakeholders on development and implementation.
· Provide strong leadership for your team and work in close collaboration with our programmes to guide, mentor and build capacity.
· Utilise process analysis and improvement techniques to continually review and improve, ensuring best practices are identified and implemented globally.
· Ensure successful project management and implementation of SFDM project, within agreed objectives, timeline and budget.
· Develop and implement relevant people forums to ensure ongoing reviews, improvements and overall success of SFDM.
· Recommend on team structures and role definitions required to ensure SFDM is effective and efficient across our programmes.
· As SFDM “product owner”, ensure the technology requirements of SFDM are delivered by our Technology & Projects team, and that functional requirements are well defined and understood.
· Define and implement detailed SFDM dashboards for various management levels within our programme countries and MMI.
· Lead and coordinate the implementation of highly effective and efficient logistics strategies across our programmes.
· Ensure strong coordination of food planning, warehousing and distribution to drive consistent and timely feeding.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will be a proven leader with strong working knowledge of programming principles and the development of operational systems and processes, including strong project management skills. You will ideally bring experience of implementing programme delivery strategies and frameworks in global contexts, ideally within the international development sector. You will have proven experience of building strong trust-based relationships and building capacity across a broad cultural and geographical spectrum. Strong analysis skills, IT skills and robust experience of working with digital tools to support programmatic delivery would be beneficial.

This is a remote role, and we can employ you in the following countries: UK, Malawi, Kenya, Zambia, Liberia, Italy, Spain, Ireland and Canada. There will be a requirement for travel to countries where Mary’s Meals operates, as part of your role.
