is a place on campus where you can develop in areas that are not always part of the academic curriculum, but invaluable none the less.  X focuses on the needs of young people and has an extensive offer in the fields of sports, games, arts, crafts, reflection & lifestyle. The offer varies from courses, ticket hours, events and projects to, for example, free use of a student kitchen and living room and self-initiated activities and/or programming.

As a Programme Maker, you will be the link between, and with, associations, (student)teachers and (student)staff, and you will give shape to the creation of a meaningful, informal relationship with the target group. You conduct research into trends within your field which, based on your professional knowledge and relevant network, you are able to translate into input for programme policy, developing programme concepts, creating meaningful collaborations and ultimately creating a wide range of programmes.

All this for the purpose of developing a balanced overall programme of X, both in terms of its content and the way it is offered, with the specific aim of realising X’s mission.

The area of expertise of the Programme Maker we are looking for is fitness, martial arts and defence sports.

You will be a partner for the instructors and will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of ticket hours, courses, trainings, competitions, events and other initiatives within your portfolio. You are budget responsible for your portfolio part within the budgetary framework where your programme budget forms the frame for a good alignment of the supply and demand, both on quantity and quality.

X

The primary aim of X TU Delft (X) is to stimulate and facilitate the personal development of students and their connection with the academic community at TU Delft. This means that X is a place is a place on campus where you can develop in areas that are not always part of the academic curriculum, but invaluable none the less. X focuses on the needs of young people.

The three pillars of Products, Systems and Communication together make X’s offer possible, in which some 15,000 students and staff members participate each year. Themes that underpin X’s programming are lifestyle, reflection, sports, games, arts and crafts. Thanks to the help of students (organisations), teachers and trainers, X is able to provide an attractive programme of courses, ticket hours, events and projects. In addition, students can initiate their own programming and/or activities and can make free use of facilities such as a student kitchen and student living room.

Staff members of X are characterised by their strong ambition to contribute to and participate in the personal development of people in general and students in particular. They are also committed to their own personal development and they have a strong capacity to learn.

Sports & Games

The Sports & Games cluster is part of the Products pillar and is responsible for the programme offer in the field of ball sports, e-sports, games, strength sports, outdoor, racket sports, Martial Arts and defence sports and water sports. In daily practice, this translates into the development, realisation and facilitation of ticket hours, courses, competitions, events and other initiatives. The team consists of 3 staff members, 2 student employee and works closely together with around 80 teachers and 40 student association boards.

  • You have at least HBO working and intellectual level;
  • You have extensive work experience in the field of fitness, martial arts and defence sports;
  • You have demonstrable work experience in developing (online) programme offerings;
  • You have a connective leadership style;
  • You have affinity with the target group of students and their needs;
  • You have an interest in other cultures and genuinely enjoy working in an informal organisation;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.
  • You are communicative, reliable, decisive, committed, flexible, independent but also a real team player;
  • You are flexibly deployable, also in the evenings;
  • You actively follow developments within your field, society and the target group, which you can translate into programme offerings.
  • Duration of contract is 1 year with prospect of permanent.
  • A job of 26-28 hours per week.
  • A salary based on scale 10 of the CAO for Dutch Universities with a minimum of €3.226 and a maximum of €5.090 gross per month based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.

Education & Student Affairs (ESA) provides educational support by taking care of education and student administration, coordinating education policy, functional management of educational applications and providing monitoring- and management reports, supporting and supervising Dutch and international students and PhD candidates, providing training in teaching and other areas, giving educational advice and support and organising sport & culture activities. ESA is made up of the departments Education Service Centre, Academic Services, Information Management and X. ESA employs around 250 staff.
