This position is located in the Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Service (PPMES), in the Executive Direction and Management Division (EDM), of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), in Geneva. The incumbent reports to the Senior Programme Management Officer under the overall guidance of the Chief of PPMES.
Responsibilities
• Supports the development and implementation of organizational change activities across OHCHR, ensuring alignment with the High Commissioner’s Organizational Management Plan and vision and with a view toward effectively integrating UN 2.0 Quintet for Change. • Provides coordination support for the change management team, by developing survey initiatives, creating data collection instruments, and reviewing, analyzing and interpreting responses; identifies problems/issues and prepares recommendations. • Performs assignments, in collaboration with the change management team, by planning and facilitating workshops, through other interactive sessions and assisting in developing the plan the change management team will use to manage the project. • Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources. • Organizes and prepares written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, etc. • Provides substantive backstopping to the programme/project, meetings, etc., including proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, preparation of documents and presentations, etc. • Participates in outreach activities, training workshops, seminars, etc.; makes presentations on assigned topics/activities. • Leads and/or participates in field missions, including providing guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission summaries, etc. • Coordinates activities related to budget funding (project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, etc.) and related documents/reports (pledging, work and budget programme etc.). • Performs other duties as required.

Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, law, international relations, political science, economics or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Out of the seven (7) years, at least five (5) years of experience in project/programme management or strategic planning experience within the United Nations Common System, or similar international organization is desirable. Experience supporting the implementation of organizational change processes within the UN system or similar international organization, is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.

THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARILY AVAILABLE FOR THREE MONTHS, SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
