- Developing the methodology and tools for managing and monitoring the environmental and social aspects of projects for UNICEF Burundi, depending on the nature of the projects and programmes;
- Preparing and monitoring environmental and social impact indicators for infrastructure and equipment projects;
- Participate in the drafting of reports and in project/programme capitalisation exercises.
Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
- Work Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience in in environmental and social safeguards applied to infrastructure projects and/or experience in environmental and social impact assessment and/or management of infrastructure construction projects or the installation of industrial or mining equipment.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in French. Knowledge of another official UN language (English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
