1. Programme Officer
Position summary
This position holder will be responsible for managing and implementing programs that Empower
Communities to End FGM/C in Burat, Kinna, and Oldonyiro Wards in Isiolo County through
Grassroot Actions.
Duty Station: Isiolo Town with travels to the Wards
Contract duration: One year
Supervisor: Programme Manager
Working hours: Full time
Job duties and responsibilities
➢ Support the implementation of MID-P Gender Policy
➢ Lead awareness creation on FGM/C issues leading to actions and change, and services
available in target communities
➢ Develop training materials and IEC packages on FGM/C

➢ Strengthen a gender responsive/sensitive complaints and response mechanism that would
ensure that communities are aware of how to give feedback, where and the stakeholders
involved to address the feedback in a timely manner.
➢ Support in conducting project monitoring, learning and reporting, and ensure that
reporting is timely and meets the evidence and objectives of the project.
➢ Contribute to in fundraising efforts to enable MID-P to upscale and develop further GBV
focused projects.
Capacity Building:
➢ Conduct or facilitate training workshops for stakeholders, including capacity building of
small and medium grantees under the project.
Community Engagement and Project Management:
● Prepare regular progress reports and provide timely updates to key stakeholders, ensuring
adherence to donor guidelines and deadlines.
● Apply best practices in project management, ensuring project deliverables are met and
leading the technical aspects of the project.
● Develop concepts, guidelines, manuals, and procedures relevant to FGM/C.
● Support in compiling reports, knowledge management (Collaborative Learning and
Adaptation) and representation of MID-P in different forums.
● Any other additional work as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and qualifications
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Gender studies, Sociology or any other relevant field.
➢ At least 3 years of practical working experience in gender inclusivity, empowerment and
sustainable development in Kenya;
➢ Excellent analytical, writing, communications and advocacy skills;
➢ Experience of working with NGOs;
➢ Experience in working with stakeholders in development programs especially in gender
mainstreaming is an asset;
➢ Experience in capacity building and training staff and stakeholders on gender-mainstreaming;
➢ Experience in providing substantive technical inputs on Gender equality and Women
Empowerment;
➢ Experience in mobilizing resources is desirable
2. Finance and Administration Assistant
Position summary
MID-P is recruiting a Finance and Administration Assistant to support the implementation of
Horn of Africa Extreme Weather Response -Kenya project in Isiolo County. MID-P secured
funding under the OXFAM- MACP for 4 months. This position holder will be responsible for
managing and preparing financial reporting to the donor.

Working hours: Full time
Roles and Responsibilities
➢ Provides assistance in maintaining financial records.
➢ Ensure completeness of supporting documentations for payment.
➢ updating financial spreadsheets, drafting spreadsheets, and reviewing and reconciling
bank statements.
➢ Processing and preparing financial statements.
➢ Creating, sending, and following up on invoices.
➢ Collecting and reviewing data for reports.
➢ Reviewing and performing audits on financial statements and reports
Required minimum qualification, skills, and experience.
➢ Degree in accounting or finance or a closely related field.
➢ At least Certified Public Accountant Part 1
➢ Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
➢ Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
➢ Good organizational skills.
➢ Strong analytical skills.
➢ Detail-oriented.
➢ Excellent time management skills.
➢ Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing donor funded project
