Salary Range: £31,505 per annum
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration of Contract: Permanent
Location: Fauna & Flora, Cambridge. Current policy offers partial remote working within the UK
Founded in 1903, Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s longest established
international conservation organisation. Our vision is to create a sustainable future for the
planet where biodiversity is conserved by the people living closest to it. We aim to do this
through the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions
that are sustainable, based on sound science and take account of human needs. We have become a
trusted entity in the world of conservation. Today FFI is active in over 40 countries.
This role will work at the heart of efforts to advance lasting conservation impact in the face
of climate change. Fauna & Flora is launching a new initiative to implement a systematic
and catalytic approach to integrating climate risks into Fauna & Flora projects, and to
support the development of locally appropriate adaptation solutions that respond to local needs
and opportunities. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join the team to support the
delivery of this exciting and ambitious programme of work.
You will provide technical and administrative support for project delivery, including research,
information management, fund administration, facilitating and engaging in meetings, arranging
workshops, and contributing to developing capacity building materials on climate change and
nature-based solutions for Fauna & Flora’s teams and partners. The post will suit an
individual with excellent organisational and communications skills; and experience in and a
passion for biodiversity conservation and grassroots action on climate change.
You will be a self-motivated team player and enjoy working in a variety of environments and
cultural settings. With a keen eye for detail and analytical mind, you will be highly competent
at drafting and reviewing proposals, reports, budgets and financial summaries, and capture
evidence and learning on an ongoing basis across project activities, in collaboration with
various team members. Your excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills will enable you to build
strong working relationships with colleagues in the UK and overseas, and support effective
delivery of an ambitious programme of work.
In return, the role offers the opportunity to work within a solutions-focused organisation at
the forefront of global conservation, with generous pension contribution, attractive annual
leave allowance, flexible, hybrid working policy and life insurance.
Our offices are located in The David Attenborough Building in central Cambridge, just a few
minutes’ walk from glorious historic buildings and museums, the picturesque River Cam, the
central market and shopping centre, and a host of cafés and restaurants.
The closing date for applications is 25 February 2024. Interviews are likely
to take place during the week commencing 4 March 2024.
