The team

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Welsh Government Energy Service delivery team in
Wales, rated world class by the organisations we support.

We work with the public sector and community energy enterprises in Wales to develop energy
projects, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions and creating local benefits,

We are a team of collaborative and supportive dedicated energy professionals with a passion for
sustainability, community energy and wider decarbonisation.

The role 

This is a vital role in helping link together the various parts of our work, meaning you will
be involved in lots of different areas and continuing to deliver an excellent service to Welsh
Government and our customers.

Success in this role means providing high quality administration and other support to the team
so that our processes run smoothly, our communications are coordinated, and funding is
delivered to support the excellent work of the community energy sector in Wales.

What you’ll do 

  • Administration of grant funds for community and public sector energy projects in Wales.
  • Coordinating of staffing and project reporting information from Energy Saving Trust, Carbon
    Trust and other consortium partners.
  • Monitoring and managing progress with purchase orders and invoices.
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the team on community energy projects in Wales.
  • Providing administrative support to the team on internal quality management systems.  

What you’ll bring 

  • Experience working in a team support role,
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines across a range of
    tasks,
  • A good understanding of IT systems and standard Microsoft programmes,
  • An interest in sustainability and renewable energy.
