How can you make a difference? 

KEY END-RESULTS EXPECTED

Contributes to achieving the objectives and vision of UNICEF and the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (MEAH) in terms of local governance of the WASH sector.

• Implementation of the Mionjo project and its different aspects: water point inventory, pump testing, construction MUS (Multi-Use Water System) infrastructures, and/or drinking water and civil engineering infrastructures such as desalination plants with NGOs, consultancies, companies, communities and beneficiaries.
• Close collaboration with the government counterparts at the regional level (DREAH, Mionjo, etc.) with regular meetings and reporting to update on the project’s advancement in the region
• Compliance with environmental and social regulations for the drinking water infrastructures to be put in place.

Achievement of the objectives and vision of UNICEF and the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (MEAH) in terms of infrastructure management:

• Effectiveness of infrastructure management delegation contracts, support to community engagement especially on the water payment aspect.
• Monitoring and evaluation of the activities of ICG, through both remote support and regular on-site visits
• Contribution to the monitoring of project advancement via the dedicated data collection and management tool

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

The following minimum requirements:

• Education: A first university degree (i.e. bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in one of the following fields is required: Contract management, hydraulic engineering, civil engineering, Hydrogeology, environmental engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Work Experience:  At least one (1) year experience in WASH program management and monitoring, specifically focused on the supervision of drinking water infrastructure construction in rural areas, is required.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in French and working knowledge of English is required.
