The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.
We are seeking an experienced Programs Coordinator to join our family. Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will involve planning and implementing The Smith Family suite of Learning for Life programs within the Werribee community. You will maintain key relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families in the program, partner schools, community groups and volunteers. You will also be responsible for reporting and tracking the progress of the programs, including resources and budgets, contributing to The Smith Family vision.
About our role
You will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining Partner School relationships and monitoring progress, planning, implementation and feedback on programs and activities.
- Continually monitoring program delivery and ensure the database has accurate and up to date information.
- Advocating for and answering enquiries relating to The Smith Family educational programs.
- Meeting with fellow team members to discuss potential improvements that can be made to the programs.
- Building relationships and working with community leaders and organisations to identify partnership opportunities.
About you
As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:
- A genuine care about supporting the educational outcomes of young people.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining strong partnerships and relationship development.
- Relevant experience managing and coordinating multiple programs simultaneously.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate data.
- Hold a current driver’s license.
- Hold or be willing to undertake a Working with Children Check.
- Be willing to undertake a National Police Check.
