Background information:
Comprising of one of the largest groups of certified Prince2 and Agile project management experts and practitioners, UNICC’s Project and Programme Services offer clients with services ranging from light-touch project management, end-to-end project management, program management, and organizational change management.
Client stakeholders can expect budget transparency, timely realization of milestones, improved controls and reporting and compliance. Via deployment of shared resources to serve Clients and provide economies of scale, benefits include adherence to project best practices, processes, templates and development, maintenance and storage of project templates and/or project documentation.
At present, UNICC seeks a contractor to provide project management services via Project Administrator role.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head, Projects Portfolio (DDP), the Project Administrator is a project management role that shares responsibility for delivery, planning, and estimating with the technical lead and ensures that all required artifacts are tracked as per the internal processes. The Project Administrator supports the technical lead in managing the project and is responsible for ensuring that the project is audit-ready.
Project Administrator Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Technical team with overall delivery of the project, including helping to:
- Ensure compliance with internal processes by maintaining a complete and auditable record of all required artifacts
- Collaborate with the technical lead(s) to share the responsibility for project planning
- Collaborate with the technical lead(s) to share the responsibility for project estimation
- Take charge of time and budget tracking
- Note: The technical lead holds the responsibility for project delivery, while critical project decisions are subject to approval from the Project Executive
- Create, maintain and execute the Project Plan including tracking changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate techniques, project issues and risks, project resources and related timesheeting
- Track and monitor project progress against plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes and report performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Support project communications, including schedule, to liaise with project board and respective stakeholders during the entire project lifecycle
- Create and maintain project management documents throughout the lifecycle of the project from Start Up to Closure
- Execute a proper Project Closure, including transition to operation, financial and lessons learnt. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
- Up to five (5) years of experience in Project Management, including proven experience in managing or supporting IT projects (Agile/Scrum, Prince2/PMI)
- Experience using JIRA, Microsoft Teams and working knowledge of the Atlassian suite
- Experience in managing budgets, scope, timelines, and risk/issue management
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management
- High proficiency in data management/data mining and preparing PowerPoint presentations as well as Excel files
Desirable:
- Experience or background in Business Analysis, including requirements and deliverables tracking
- Knowledge of Agile project management and agile methodologies
- Knowledge on any of the following areas:
- Office 365 and Exchange Messaging / Migration Services
- Infrastructure, ERP Applications and Cloud Hosting / Migration services
- Application Development, BlockChain, Automation (RPA), Data & Analytics
- ITIL
- Product Owner role and/or certification
- Product management and/or product management governance
Education:
Essential:
- First university degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related area
Desirable:
- Advanced university degree or higher in IT, Information Systems or related area
Languages:
- English: Expert knowledge is required

Compensation:
Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
