About the Role
Join our team as a Project Advisor and take on a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering high-quality program management. You will oversee a diverse range of responsibilities, including financials, budgeting, governance, reporting, processes, tools, scheduling, and planning.

As a Project Advisor, you will be an integral part of the team committed to achieving the university’s enrollment targets. Collaborating closely with the Manager of Planning & Operations, senior leaders, and a small community of project advisors, you will work together to ensure consistent project management, organisation, and efficiency across an entire program of work. Your input and innovative ideas will be highly valued, allowing you to identify and address gaps and inefficiencies in project delivery practices. You will also support the alignment of our operational model to efficiently deliver key projects, ensuring that teams across the group are using our systems and adhering to established processes. Additionally, your role will encompass operationalising many of the group’s rituals and providing support for upskilling and training as needed. To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated project support and/or delivery experience in the education sector, preferably in a tertiary education setting. 

  • Problem-solving and analytical ability in a project management context including supporting and managing project financials and performance.

  • Excellent communication skills, and experience in producing quality project documentation, templates, performance reports and business cases.

  • Able to effectively deliver and guide on modern project management principles and techniques in a challenging and dynamic environment.

  • High level interpersonal skills with the ability to direct and influence others, including a proven capacity to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including significant experience in cross-cultural relationship management. 

  • A solid understanding of continuous improvement and project management tools, methods and frameworks along with the ability to apply them with wisdom.

  • High level of IT literacy with the ability to operate various software programs.  Minimum of intermediate Excel skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and work experience in the education sector and project management will be highly regarded. 

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
