Context/Reporting line:

 

Under the general guidance of the Head, Transition and Recovery Division, the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (Durable solutions and community engagement), the administrative supervision of the and Head of Sub Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of the TRD Team Leader for East of Anbar, in close coordination with the Programme Coordinator (Transition&Recovry), this position will perform the following tasks:

 

Core Functions / Responsibilities

 

  1. Collect data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, and site observations, and ensure it is consistent with the plans.
  2. Conduct both quantitative and qualitative data collection with different stakeholders according to the data collection plan.
  3. Follow established protocols and guidelines for data collection and management and identify and report any issues or concerns related to data collection.
  4. Attend enumerator’s training sessions prior to data collection to understand data collection objectives, methodology and tools.
  5. Carry out observation visits to project implementation sites.
  6. Record data accurately and in a timely manner using the designated format.
  7. Ensure the quality and accuracy of information collected and timely entry into databases.
  8. Assist in compiling qualitative and quantitative reports on beneficiary feedback, evolving realities on the ground, trends, and dynamics.
  9. Provide feedback and recommend improvements to the planning and delivery of field activities.
  10. Ensure appropriate reporting and management of sensitive data based on “Do No Harm” principles and Protection SoPs.
  11. Perform any other TRD duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required Qualifications

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field from an accredited academic university or institute with 1 year of relevant professional experience or;
  • Completed high school diploma from an accredited institute with 3 years of relevant professional experience

 

Experience and Skills:

 

  • Previous experience in data collection or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on project needs.
  • Familiarity with data collection software and tools such as Kobo toolbox and ODK collect.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic is required.
  • Working knowledge of English is an advantage.
