Under the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator (NFIs), and the direct daily supervision of the Senior Project Assistant (NFIs Pipeline and Storage), working closely with the Assistance Programme Units and Supply Chain Unit, and all IOM thematic units, the incumbent will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Under the guidance of the Project Coordinator and Senior Project Assistants, participate in planning Non-Food and Food Items restocking, storage, and prepositioning for distribution.
2. Support coordination prepositioning: Follow the schedule and the delivery of Non-food and Food items to storage and distribution sites, ensuring timely and accurate stock delivery.
3. Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all incoming and outgoing stock of items, including dates, quantities, and destinations.
4. Communication: Liaise with IOM procurement, IOM warehouse, NFI distribution, and IOM internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient NFIs pipeline operations.
5. Receipt of NFI Shipments: Participate in verifying and inspecting incoming Non-food and Food items shipments to ensure they match the technical specifications in purchase requests/orders and are in good condition.
6. Organize Storage: Arrange Non-food and Food items in the storage and distribution sites according to their categories and storage requirements, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy access.
7. Stock Rotation: Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) methods for hygienic Non-food items and Food items to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
8. Inspect Goods: Conduct quality checks on non-food and food items to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
9. Adhere to Standard operating procedures (SOPs): Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental SOPs, especially for the storage and handling of Non-Food and food items.
10. Maintain Cleanliness: Participate in keeping the storage areas clean and organized, following hygiene standards to prevent vectors and contamination of food items.
11. Safety Protocols: Implement and follow safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries in the storage areas.
12. Report: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels and pipeline performance and promptly bring any issues encountered to the Project Coordinator’s attention.
13. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and activities related to the NFI pipeline and storage operations.
14. Support the collection and recycling of reusable NFI items, which includes disinfecting, sanitizing, cleansing, and prepositioning the items for redistribution.
15. Assist to implement the PSEAH risk mitigation plan in the area of responsibility.
16. Perform other duties as required within the competencies and responsibilities of the position.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business studies, humanitarian studies, Development studies, or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of experience in NFIs Pipeline programming, Warehousing, Procurement, and logistics in emergencies, or,
• Completed high school with at least five (5) years of relevant experience.

Experience
• Professional experience in humanitarian NFIs programming, NFI Pipeline monitoring, supply chain.
• Prior relevant professional experience in NFIs distribution, Warehouse and inventory Management in a humanitarian context
• Prior experience working in a camp.
• Prior experience of supervising unskilled and skilled staff is an advantage
• Preferable prior experience working with a United Nations agency in an emergency context.
• Knowledge of working with migrants and refugees.

Skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Publisher) and Office 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams).
• Excellent operational, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously with other colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Proven experience in drafting reports, and other information products
• Experience in project management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting will be an advantage.

Languages
IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.

REQUIRED
For this position, fluency in English is required.

DESIRABLE
Knowledge of Pashtu, Dari, Urdu/Hindi, Arabic, and other local languages commonly used at CAS will be an added advantage.
