Project Assistant (Student Placement)

Here in the School of Social Sciences we’re proud to offer placement opportunities to our students and are looking to recruit a Project Assistant Placement to work in our Learning, Quality, Teaching and Student Experience (LTQSE) Team.

In this role you will be able to…

– Contribute to a range of projects focussed on enhancing student experience, student outcomes, employability, and student voice.:

– Get involved with the planning, marketing, and delivery of events for students

– Work alongside Social Sciences staff and students to develop activities and learning approaches to enhance student experience 

– Design research and evaluation activities (qualitative and quantitative) and share results with students and staff. The kinds of questions we might address are:

• How do we enhance a sense of belonging and community in the School/Departments?
• How can academics and the wider University support the wellbeing of students?
• How can we work with students to enhance learning?
• How can we ensure that each student achieves the best possible results regardless of background and circumstances?
• What can we do to reduce the impact of social inequality in Higher Education?
