Description
Aim of the position: The Project Coordinator will supervise, coordinate and monitor the Distance Support Program (DSP) in Iraq in line with AVSI mission and vision. The program aims to provide financial and educational support to 450 children and their families in Qaraqosh and in Duhok.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Closely work with the PM to prepare the detailed work plan and forecast the resources/budget needed for the project implementation.
- Responsible of the coordination of the DSP team in close collaboration with the PM (activities work plan, weekly schedule, weekly objectives, calendar of communications with sponsors etc.).
- Monitor the quality of DSP activities on field and provide on job-coaching to DSP Social Workers.
- Monitor the quality of DSP communications with sponsors.
- Implementing PSS activities with children and adults.
- Support DSP team in the identification of new children to be included in the program and support in the preparation of the related documentation.
- Facilitate the coordination between the M&E department and DSP team to ensure the correct functioning of: data collections, data entry, FGDs and reporting, making sure DSP database is always updated.
- Work closely with the PM in the identification of location of activities’ implementation (municipalities, schools, centers), establishing contacts with local authorities and local actors (CBOs, NGOs).
- Ensure active, positive relationships with school principals, majors and other community leaders and stakeholders in the area of intervention in coordination with PM.
- Coordinate with the communication officer in order to properly document activities (Photos, small videos…) aligned with the donor’s requirements and communication guidelines.
- Preparing purchase requests in the project and coordinating with the logistic department to follow up the steps.
- Perform other duties within area of responsibility, as requested by the supervisor.
