Position Summary

The Duke Endowment Perinatal Interagency Interdisciplinary Care Coordination (TDE PIICC) Project Coordinator works on a grant funded project developed in the setting of a maternal mortality crisis in the U.S, specifically Chatham County, NC, adversely affecting minoritized pregnant persons. This grant has proposed a pilot project to intervene and provide hands on connective care to birthing persons. The Project Coordinator responsibilities include handling the day-to-day grant management, progress reporting, scheduling meetings, regularly meeting with internal staff and external collaborators, manage grant budget and other ad hoc duties or tasks assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills; experience working with many levels of staff, i.e., medical providers, nurses, support staff, senior leadership and board members; familiarity with operational, financial, quality and human resources procedures, and supervisory skills. Ability to use computerized tracking tools; Experience with data collection, analysis and grant reporting, including chart audits and clinical analysis. Excellent skills with EMR and Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Word). Experience with population management principles. Occasional travel to meetings.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Familiarity with UNC operational, financial, quality and human resources procedures, preferred.
