The project seeks to learn from the experience of Japanese companies and other international reference companies to achieve greater productivity through solid labor relations, investment in the development of workers and a safe and healthy work environment that contributes to creating stable supply chains, promote an inclusive labor market, encourage local economic development while promoting decent work. The project is in the implementation process until June 30, 2024.

Description of tasks:

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the following specific functions within the framework of the general programming of the technical activities of the Office:

  • Provide technical coordination of the project and contribute to the implementation, management and development of the different pillars of the project, providing them with technical coherence.
  • Conceptualize, develop and supervise research, analysis and other activities aimed at making policy decisions on the tripartite challenges of the automotive sector, with particular focus on supply chains and the identification and resolution of obstacles that affect training in the sector.
  • Work closely with strategic partners to design and review the project work plan considering different approaches and methods for management, problem identification and solution.
  • Support the execution of the consultancies and activities scheduled by the ILO in the project, from the definitions of the terms of reference, to the monitoring and final approval of the product.
  • Prepare periodic project progress and budget reports to meet obligations to the ILO and its tripartite constituents.
Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • First-level university degree in economic sciences, public policies, development studies or a relevant field related to the themes of the project.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience at the national level in project management, supervision, administration, and implementation of agreements. Experience in a leadership role implementing development projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Argentine labor market and employment policies (ideally linked to the sector). Familiarity with the mandate, values ​​and functioning of the ILO. In-depth knowledge and professional experience in productive development, employment, and supply chains.
Experience valued as an advantage:
  • Work experience in the United Nations System.
Languages:
  • Perfect written and oral command of Spanish and excellent knowledge of English .
