Main Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure that a proper work plan is designed and maintained at all times to make sure program activities are running smoothly and on time.
  • Draft and review monthly and quarterly reports required about the project activities.
  • In charge of overall planning of the program activities by coordinating partner/training participants’ travel, including airfare and hotel arrangements, interacting with travel agents and program staff with Procurement & Logistics.
  • Ensure that “Lessons learned.” Are well communicated within the program team and support the local partners in deriving “Success Stories” in partnership with the MEAL expert.
  • In coordination with the Project Manager and Program Director, prepare monthly activity projections and share them with the Finance Department.
  • Liaise with consultants/trainers and make sure proper documentation is submitted to HR for the processing of the contractors’ agreements.
  • Communicate with the local media outlets and CSOs about training and other programs.
  • Arrange and facilitate all logistics involved in the setting up and running of training such as preparation of facilities, venues and equipment (e.g., microphones, laptops, recorders, USBs, etc.
  • Liaise and coordinate with similar INGOs to ensure lessons learned are continuously drawn upon.
  • Collect travel receipts and manage expenses/stipend for participants.
  • Assist with training and provide translation/interpretation if needed.
  • Coordinate publication/production of training materials in print or video as needed.
  • Work with the Monitoring and Evaluating Officer on the progress of participants in training workshops and measure their output after training.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contact list of those involved in training programs/activities and enter it into a database.
  • Ensure proper documentation of the program is stored and archived in a fashionly manner.
  • Any other relevant tasks required by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social science or related field. Master’s degree is preferable.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a project coordination role.
  • Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Very good report-writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and facilitating trainings, workshops, and other events.
  • Experience in working with journalists and civil society activists is preferable.
  • Experience in working on climate change and environmental projects is preferable.
