Job Summary
The Center for Tuberculosis Project Coordinator will work closely with the Center’s leadership and staff team to coordinate the project management duties of the Center’s programs and initiatives, (specifically but not limited to the Center’s mentorship programs, DEIA initiative, and events). The Project Coordinator will support the Center’s mission through coordination of services and meetings, evaluating and reporting deliverables, tracking pilot awards/stipends, draft content for online communications, and logistcal support for event coordination.
The Project Coordinator will have project coordination skills, budgetary tracking management of multiple streams of funding, compliance and administrative expertise. The incumbent will require some basic knowledge and experience with NIH funded grants, grant writing and reporting, and will support the development of content for the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis newsletter and websites with assistance from web technicians.
The Project Coordinator will be directed to other Center for Tuberculosis duties as assigned by Center Leadership.
***NOTE: This is a part-time (20 hours/week) contract role for 1-year.

Department Description
The UCSF Center for Tuberculosis, established in 2019, is experiencing swift growth over the last two years with large investments awarded from NIAID and USAID. The UCSF Center for Tuberculosis manages the UCSF – UC Berkeley Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center (UC TRAC) and the UCSF award under the SMART4TB Consortium. The UCSF Center for Tuberculosis coordinates training, mentorship, pilot awards, and other investment activities for early-stage investigators and serves as a catalyst and community for investigators of all stages in TB research to incubate interdisciplinary collaborations and novel discoveries.
The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) provides comprehensive medical care for the community, develops innovative research aimed at elucidating basic mechanisms of disease, and translates research activities into both new clinical initiatives and a rich training environment for the next generation of academic physician scientists.
