Project Engineer (m/f)
 
in Sinjar
 

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract for 7 months.  The base will be in Sinuni Office and The place of work will be in Sinjar , Iraq (IQ). The position is paid according to SG5.

 

 

Implementation of project activities according to the specified deadlines and organisational, contractual and financial directives.
Depending on the specialist division, the Expert is responsible for carrying out procurement activities, implementing technical measures and / or implementing social components within the framework of the specified project assignment.

 

 Your responsibilities
 

 

  • Support the team in carrying out feasibility assessments, developing of BoQs and designing of water rehabilitation projects in the target locations
  • Assist in preparing Scope of Work (SoW), implementation plans, and monitoring plans for the rehabilitation activities.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of rehabilitation activities to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Carry out technical review of the construction companies during the tender rev.
  • Assist the project team in identifying project participants for Cash for Work activities under the rehabilitation component of the project.
  • Monitoring of the inventory management of relief supplies (incoming/outgoing goods, regular stock checks, resupply) and their distribution to the target groups or project locations
  • Documentation of relevant technical and procurement processes in accordance with the co-financing agreement or Welthungerhilfe directives (such as Assignment Allocation Regulation, AAR).
  • Preparation of project progress reports
  • Fulfilment of any other tasks which are assigned by the management and correspond in general with the character of this position
  • Conduct technical assessments for Rehabilitation of different infrastructures projects (housing and agricultural infrastructure – irrigation, mechanization, greenhouses and others).
  • Preparing BoQs, drawings and project implementation plans.
  • Field supervision of technician staff and contractors works for infrastructures projects.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Professional/ formal qualification

  • University degree in civil engineering
  • 3 to 5 years’ professional experience working in similar position with relevant tasks and responsibilities

 

Foreign language skills

  • Fluency in English ,Kurdish and Arabic (written and spoken),
