Dorcas has been active in Iraq since 2014, supporting vulnerable communities through programming in Climate Change Resilience & Adaptation, with sub-sectors in Protection, Livelihoods, and WASH. We work closely with local partners to deliver quality assistance and sustainable impact.

Role Summary

We are recruiting a Project Implementation/Support Coordinator to deliver the DCF/FAF project in Basra. The role combines hands-on field implementation with project-specific coordination/support (activity logistics, documentation, partner liaison) strictly within the DCF/FAF project scope. The project is implemented through local partners with Dorcas oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement climate-resilience/adaptation activities and sub-sector outputs (Protection, Livelihoods, WASH) per the logframe/workplan.
• Lead beneficiary targeting, registration, verification; maintain accurate documentation and MoVs.
• Organize distributions, trainings, and community sessions; ensure quality, safety, and safeguarding standards.
• Coordinate activity logistics, venues, schedules; maintain project files and MoVs; support partner delivery and verification.
• Support project-specific procurement and activity-line budget tracking (eligibility, documentation, and timely variances).
• Collect/validate MEAL data; contribute to monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Liaise with authorities and local partners for DCF/FAF activities; ensure compliance with PSEA, safeguarding, and Do-No-Harm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ relevant INGO/NGO field experience in Iraq.
• Demonstrated experience in Climate Resilience/Adaptation plus experience in at least one sub-sector (Protection, Livelihoods, WASH).
• Strong organization, partner coordination, and documentation skills; Kobo/ODK a plus.
• English and Arabic fluency
• Understanding of donor compliance and safe programming.
