About the Opportunity 

In this flexible role, you will provide project coordination, project tool development and reporting support across a range of corporate support functions including PMO, project governance, strategic & organisational planning, change management and business transformation. This role is based within a small team that works collaboratively with a wide range area across the diverse community services organisation. Role is available for 0.8-1 FTE at preference of the candidate.

Ensuring consistent application of Uniting’s Project Management methodology and governance framework, you will collaborate with stakeholders from individual contributor to Executive to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones.

You will achieve success through:

  • Developing fit-for-purpose project and business tools in our project system (Smartsheet)
  • Collaborating with a range of stakeholders to provide project lifecycle, PMO and business transformation support

What’s on offer

A hybrid work environment where you can split your time between work from home and head office in Lonsdale Street. We are established and comfortable with virtual working and most of your stakeholders are geographically dispersed across Victoria and Tasmania.

You’ll have exposure across a variety of different projects and activities including housing development, ICT, governance, framework development, talent, strategy development, etc.

In addition to receiving an annual salary ranging between $74k – $79k (prorated for part-time) and superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and an ability to increase your take-home pay by accessing up to $15,900 in salary packaging benefits. There is also an option for additional purchased leave to increase your annual leave entitlements.

Paid Parental Leave for up to 10 weeks.

About you

Keen to develop your existing generalist project skill set, you seek variety in the types of works that you support and enthusiasm for developing new tools. Confidence and a curious mindset sees you own given tasks while showing initiative to deliver on other activities that require support

You will bring:

  • Qualification in Project Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary project management principles and best practices (eg. agile, waterfall).
  • Success in prior project support roles in a Project Management Office (PMO) or Business Transformation team
  • High capability with project management software and platforms
  • Proficiency with excel formulas
  • Capability to adapt communication style to meet various audiences incl. Executive
